Yamla Pagla Deewana Review

The review of the movie Yamla Pagla Deewana {YPD}
 When those Deols come together in an single movie there will be the best of their acting work also there will be an unrestricted celebration of lots of dhamaal and dileri in the film. Neither Hand pumps are pulled out of ground, nor the suicide speeches given from the top of water tanks, actually.
By the Director Samir Karnik, “Yamla Pagla Deewana” is a type of film that, if they have made it within some limits and lots of editing it might have been a riot of laughter and comedy. Because it is really, it is an ver long and to some extent a little bit of tiresome movie to watch.It is a movie with Dharmendra, the Garam Dharam taking the back seat and the Bobby Deol, the young gun as leader of the show.
Mister Big Brother, the Sunny Deol has had his every film’s personality in this film. His Paaapa, the Dharmendra has had his shers who strike the enemies like they were small mosquitoes. But what about the Soldier, Bobby, he didn’t fight too much as compared to his brother Sunny.
So it is tragic that most of Yamla Pagla Deewana depend entirely on an actor who has to give one memorable cinematic moment yet, while Sunny, who comes up with his best performance of the all stars in the film, showing his flexing muscles and helping his young brother in finding his love.
The story of the movie is as follows:
Dharam Singh (Dharmendra) and Gajodhar Singh (Bobby Deol) are two con men in Banaras. Paramveer (Sunny Deol) being an NRI from Canada, comes to Banaras finding his brother and father who were lost long ago. Together all the three i.e. this trio makes really quite a good team. Gajodhar and Dharam do their con games as usual but now with an added man of great muscle power from Canada.After then, Gajodhar{Bobby} happens to fall in love with a Punjabi kudi Kulraj Randhawa. Anupam Kher is the overprotective brother with an alarming huge temper. Gajodhar is always in a fix when Param{Sunny} comes to rescue him. Then all action shifts to Punjab in sarson ke khet  followed by a Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge style wedding drama which spiced and filled with a lot of confusion and many freely flowing slaps!
It is an ashamed celebration of everything Punjabi and must have expected some pure humor here. Jokes showing a gross lack of intelligence and sensitivity fly very fast. Some really work, but many of them do not. But your paisa will really be vasool-ed when you see those 3 Deols doing Dharmendra’s signature dance.
Rating: 3 out of 5 Stars
