She is a 17-year old girl from Gering, Nebraska. She has been named as the youngest champion of all time on this Saturday night. She earned this crown by performing on the piano; she performed the "White Water Chopsticks" on piano. She was the only participant there, who neither sang nor danced.
Teresa Scanlan has earned a scholarship worth $50,000. She is a graduate from Scottsbluff High School. And she will be attending Patrick Henry College, later in the fall.
Teresa Scanlan said her main centre of interest will be on the eating disorders and also how these disorders affect the generation.
