Austin, Texas-- Former member of the United States House of Representatives, the showy Texan who helped tightly control a Republican majority in his chamber until resigning in 2005, was sentenced to 3 years in a prison by a state judge on this Monday(10th Jan 2011) for his role in a scheme to illegally funnel corporate money to Texas candidates in 2002.
