HIV/AIDS Cure

The Berlin Patient has been cured of HIV/AIDS (reportedly) via a procedure of stem cell transplant. The patient's name is Timothy Ray Brown. Brown is a patient of leukemia. He has become the first person to be cured of Human Immunodeficiency Virus i.e. HIV (AIDS - Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) with a special procedure of transplanting HIV-resistant stem cells in his body. He is from Germany and he was an HIV positive person. He was in chemotherapy to cure his leukemia. During this he was subjected to transplant stem cells in his body. 

That procedure proved to be the cure of his both diseases (HIV and Leukemia). Now Brown has become the subject of a report that is claiming that he has been cured of HIV due to the stem cell transplant. All this happened in the year 2007 but the word 'cure' is now being officially used because Brown has been checked thoroughly and found with no single sign of HIV.

In this holiday flick these school gyrls have been trapped in a mall, overnight. There was also a movie named School Gyrls. Winterfresh Music Fest 2010

This year the Winter Fresh Music Festival will not be held at Los Angeles Center Studios. The L.A. Center Studios have broken the agreement of their location rental contract with Winterfresh Festival. Winterfresh Festival is not allowed to be held at their property.Therefore the 2010 Winterfresh music festival has been extended to two days( 4th and 5th December 2010 ) at two venues both in San Bernardino - the Hudson/Gotham and ASU fox theater (Timings-2pm to 2am on Saturday and 2pm until midnight on Sunday.

Israel's Fire

Israel's Fire

There is a big fire raging in carmel forest region east of haifa in western galilee. At least 40 or above people have died. Fire fighters and rescue teams are battling the blaze around the clock. Specially some villages of that area and communities are at very high risk. Some communities are partially burned. Many thousands acres of the forest have been burnt down to ashes. Israel's Fire Commissioner Shimon Romach has called on the international community to get support during this disaster. Some countries like Greece, Cyprus, Italy, Russia and France have admitted to send help.

Ron Santo Dies...

Former cubs third baseman has died on December 2 2010 (Thursday) at the age of 70. According to the website Chicago Tribune Santo was in comma on Wednesday and died on Thursday. This is a very sad news for all of us, especially for those who grew up in the era when the famous cub icons Ernie Banks, Billy Williams, Fergie Jenkins and Ron Santo together led their team to the World Series. Ron Santo was a passionate baseball player with unmatchable skills. He was the best third baseman of his era and he was among the top players in the baseball. At Ron Santo Day at 28 August, it was first revealed that he suffered from diabetes. Before that day it was a big secret among some close friends and teammates of Santo. Ron retired after 1974 and became cubs radio commentator. Rest in peace for Ron Santo and very sincere condolences for those who feel deep sorrow for his death...
